this website was born of a desire to promote my own music projects back in 1995, which, honestly, always seemed pretty dang corny.  c'mon. promoting myself?  give me a break.  i realized that constructing websites was easy, but attracting people to them was more of a task.  so, i began to focus on the idea of supporting our music community (something i always felt a need to do anyway, but never saw how until the internet came along), and slowly through the past few years this site has developed.  do with it as you will.

normalmusic serves the music community of Norman, OK, USA.  in so doing, it provides a site where our bands and venues can post their dates for all to see and a realaudio server where we can listen to the songs which make up our musical contribution to the world-at-large.  yeah, the world at large.  that's how it's going to be.

you see, nestled in the middle of wheat country sits Norman, OK.  in this space a certain creative energy exists which stands head and shoulders with any other creative 'hot spot'. period.  and on a night when you catch that perfect show, you understand.  that's it.  don't believe me?  exprerience it for yourself.
